The Part-Time Assistant Accountant will perform accounting duties and report to the Financial Controller at our global operations headquarters in Hatfield, PA. Hybrid work schedule offered.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate, relevant and timely financial records.
- Ensure timely processing of customer & vendor invoices and miscellaneous expense claims.
- Daily bank reconciliation.
- Prepare journal entries and related schedules to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
- Prepare payment register from ERP system with supporting documentation for review, approve, and process through banking system.
- Follow up accounts receivable for payment.
- Assist with monthly / annual close procedure closing and external audit.
- Assist with financial reporting, forecasting and analyzing.
- Assist with inventory management and sales & use tax filing.
- Ad-hoc duties as assigned.
- Working knowledge of finance and accounting.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or studying for one).
- Worked in companies subject to annual financial audit.
- 2+ years of transaction entry, accounting and reconciliation experience.
- Experience with NetSuite (or similar ERP applications) is preferred.

Responsibilities
· Data management activities including: Data gathering from field machines (travel not required); data curation (moving data into the cloud or internal system), data cleaning, data anonymisation.
· Coordinate Data sharing agreements and managing data access.
· Manage data for projects such as deep learning annotation, clinical research, R&D development
· Develop accurate data annotation pipelines.
· The role allows growth in building and maintaining data engineering infrastructure; specifically with cloud tools on AWS and GCP.
Essential Skills
· Degree in a technical discipline
· Hands on experience with data - ideally large datasets requiring careful management
· Coding experience with a numerical language (python, C++, java, etc)
· Examples of project work involving data management of some kind
Desirable Skills
· Management of medical data and /or regulatory knowledge (HIPAA, GDPR) relating to good data management practice
· Experience with a machine learning stack, for example machine learning modelling, data annotation
· Cloud experience (AWS, GCP)
· A grasp of the challenges of data management in medicine.
· Specific knowledge of medical data, for example the DICOM format, PACS systems

Our customer support is key to who we are at CurveBeam AI – we need someone that is able to put the customer first and respond promptly and politely to all customer issues. In this role you would be expected to provide superior first level phone and email support to our customers. Able to troubleshoot both software and hardware issues remotely for our entire line of medical devices. Assist customers with using their device and helping to train them on the use of the software. Open support tickets that are clear and concise for each issue. Perform remote software upgrades. Assist field service people while they are on-site. Ability to travel to customers as needed for on-site support (5-10% of the time, typically within 3 hours drive). As part of a small company, be willing to work on other tasks as they arise.
